Origin: Developed in 1920 in Jamaica. Parentage: Hybrid of mandarin and sweet orange. Appearance: Medium to large fruit with a flattened to oblong shape and an orange rind that ranges from smooth to rough. Flesh: Orange-coloured, very juicy, and seedless under appropriate growing conditions. Features: Generally difficult to peel, very high juice content, and a high solids-to-acidity ratio.
